By using a performance contract the risk of energy savings and equipment operation is transferred to The First Energy Group because your payments are contingent on your savings. The First Energy Group guarantees a certain amount of annual savings or we pay you the difference.
By using a Performance Contract you can hold The First Energy Group accountable for the design, purchase, installation, management, maintenance, and operation of all equipment covered - even roofs!
State of the art, energy efficient lighting, air-conditioning systems, energy management systems, motor replacements, and variable-speed drives for pumps and fans are common improvements. In larger facilities cogeneration units or alternative energy sources may be installed.
A Performance Contract includes financing of all the project costs. No up-front money is needed!

Performance Contracts, by their very nature, tend to be for larger and more comprehensive projects. The First Energy offers simpler Program for less comprehensive projects.
